21 Day Fix by Beachbody
I started a new exercise program called 21 Day Fix. It is designed to start participants on the road to health and wellness by providing 21 straight days of exercise and nutrition. On the Beachbody on Demand site it is listed as beginner. I’m not sure if that is actually the case but after doing a week I actually feel as if I have accomplished something. I think the first week may have triggered some muscle memory. The first three days were difficult but after that it started to get slightly easier. I even noticed that some of my lumps weren’t so lumpy afterwards.
Now I am on week two. I completed the Day eight workout yesterday and it was challenging but not as bad as I thought. I’m a little sore and I am convinced that lunges are some kind punishment for indulging in too much of anything. I mean really. I have big thighs and those lunges after a while get to be a little too much. In spite of that, I persevered. Honestly I would rather do lunges than burpees any day. No matter how much I complain, I will struggle through because these unusual forms of torture are a neccessary evil. These movements get to the places that need to be smoothed out and strengthened.
On that note, I will continue with Day 9 today. I have not gotten into the nutrition portion yet and I will get to that today and see what kind of foods she suggests.
